Frances Elizabeth Kramer Establishes Scholarship for FNU Students
Frances Elizabeth Kramer, who passed away on January 11, 2021, has left a gift that will benefit future Frontier Nursing University (FNU) students for decades to come. In memory of our dear friend, Jan Weingrad Smith, Ph.D., CNM, MPH, Frontier Nursing University in collaboration with Jan's daughter, sister and father are creating a scholarship to be awarded to a student who embodies Jan's love of learning, concern for others, and commitment to midwifery and education. Frontier Nursing University Awarded HRSA Grants Totaling $4,140,000
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded Frontier Nursing University (FNU) two grants totaling $4,140,000. The HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training grant totals $1,920,000 and the Nursing Workforce Diversity grant totals $2,220,000. Frontier Nursing University Endows Scholarship Aimed at Increasing Diversity in Health Care
Frontier Nursing University has endowed a new scholarship to support African American, Black, Native American, and Alaskan Native students. The scholarship, which will support 10 students per year, was established and approved by FNU’s Board of Directors during their quarterly meeting in April 2021.
