Dr. Khara’ Jefferson Named Director of Frontier Nursing University’s DNP Program
Frontier Nursing University announced that Khara’ Jefferson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, will be the new Director of the university’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program beginning September 26, 2021. Dr. Jefferson replaces Dr. Jane Houston, DNP, CNM, FACNM, who has served as the DNP Director since 2019. Frontier Nursing University Awarded HRSA Grants Totaling $4,140,000
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded Frontier Nursing University (FNU) two grants totaling $4,140,000. The HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training grant totals $1,920,000 and the Nursing Workforce Diversity grant totals $2,220,000. Frontier Nursing University Endows Scholarship Aimed at Increasing Diversity in Health Care
Frontier Nursing University has endowed a new scholarship to support African American, Black, Native American, and Alaskan Native students. New Introduction to Cultural Safety Course Available to All
Beginning this spring, FNU will be offering a new course, “Introduction to Cultural Safety.” The course will be made available not only to the FNU community but to anyone interested in the course and its areas of focus.
