Dr. Flinders, who holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Frontier, has extensive experience as a Registered Nurse, an advanced practice nurse, educator, and college administrator. She returned to Frontier from Miami University (Ohio), where she most recently served as a professor in the Department of Nursing and the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs. In addition to her broad experience, Dr. Flinders’ commitment to fostering an environment of inclusivity and growth aligns perfectly with the mission, values, and culture of caring at Frontier Nursing University. We look forward to the future and this next chapter under her leadership.
Frontier Nursing University held an investiture ceremony for Dr. Flinders on September 26, 2025. The presidential investiture ceremony is a formal event that signifies the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the university, and it provides an opportunity for the university, guests, and community to witness the formal installation of the new leader. Guests gathered for the event on Frontier’s campus in Versailles, Kentucky.
Dr. Flinders was named a recipient of Insight Into Academia magazine’s 2026 Trailblazer in Higher Education Award.
