Jean Johnson, PhD, RN, FAAN

Jean Johnson is the founding dean and professor at the George Washington University School of Nursing and has advanced nursing education and practice with a focus on influencing health policy to improve healthcare for all. In addition, she has led professional organizations, has been a national program for the RWJF to increase the number of NPs, PAs and CNMs in underserved areas and currently serves as an executive coach primarily to nurses and other healthcare providers. She is committed to the mission and goals of FNU and greatly values the work and willingness of FNU to take risks to continually be innovative in the service of those they serve. She strongly believes that the work of FNU is critical to providing care particularly to those who need it most and can afford it least.
