Charlotte Swint, DNP, MPH, MSN

Dr. Charlotte Swint has served on the FNU faculty since October 2017. She is currently a course coordinator in the DNP program. At FNU, Dr. Swint has served as the co-chair of the Faculty/Staff Council, the Research and Scholarly Works committee, and the Mission and Philosophy committee. 

She has been involved with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) in many ways. She is the co-founder of the Health Policy Education Special Interest Group and served as the chair. She co-edited A Toolkit for the Integration of Health Policy Education Throughout the DNP Nurse Practitioner Curriculum for NONPF and was a co-author of a background paper, Benefits of Faculty Practice Partnerships. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Governance Committee and has served as the president of the Chi Pi and Xi Rho Sigma Theta Tau chapters.

Dr. Swint received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She received her Master of Public Health degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University.

She has collaborated on articles published in Workplace Health and Safety, Nurse Educator, and Epilepsy and Behavior.
