Beki Asti, DNP, MSN, FNP, PMHNP

Dr. Beki Asti is an Air Force veteran and a Frontier graduate who started working at Frontier as a Regional Clinical Faculty and Course Faculty in 2011. In 2018, she worked as a Course Coordinator and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

Dr. Asti graduated from Carroll University with her BSN, then earned her FNP degree at Frontier, and went on to attend Concordia University of Wisconsin, obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Most recently, she earned her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree at Frontier.

She has held several leadership positions, including serving as the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners’ Upper Peninsula Chapter Secretary, Chi Pi Chapter President, Chi Pi Chapter Vice President, and Chi Pi Chapter Counselor.

At Frontier, she served on the Curriculum Committee for several years as the Co-Chair and Secretary. She is also currently a faculty mentor for new faculty at Frontier.

Dr. Asti is a published scholar with research interests including APRN student preparedness and transition to practice, community mental health and access to telepsychiatry, and substance use disorders in primary care settings.
