Legacy Giving Opportunities
Gift Through A Will
A gift made by naming Frontier Nursing University (FNU) in your will.
Benefits: Your assets are there for you if you need them during your lifetime. You can also receive an estate tax deduction for the value of your bequest to FNU.
Retirement Plan Gift
A gift made by naming FNU as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets, such as an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), etc.
Benefits: FNU receives the amount tax free. Any heirs may receive a significant reduction in estate and income tax.
Charitable Gift Annuity
A contract in which you make a gift to FNU and you receive a lifetime income.
Benefits: You would receive a guaranteed lifetime income. You would also receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction. If the annuity is funded with appreciated assets, you could avoid immediate capital gains taxes.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A charitable savings account in which you can name FNU the beneficiary of the entire account or a percentage of the fund.
Benefits: You can be flexible with your support by recommending grants at different times and in varying amounts; however, you will receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction for your gift at the time you make it.
